Of The Utopian Imagination is the third record by Cities in Snow.
The record shows a progression from the drone, noise, and synthetic soundscapes of previous recordings. Now incorporating glitchy drum patterns, sonic manipulation, and menacing basslines, the music evokes a feeling of navigating a sparsely populated urban landscape of coal black skies, choking smokestacks, and lonely neon-lit streets. A weird and eerie world that we may have abandoned or one that is still yet to emerge?

This project was created at the tail-end of 2022. It reflects that dismal year of war, disease, cultural conflicts, and political unrest across the globe. We can fight for better. We have the Utopian Imagination.
